Checking In

Ugh, scores came out and alas a 73 for audit. I wallowed for a day and then got back to studying for BEC. I was planning on taking BEC on August 29th because I was hopeful that I had passed audit.  I have reevaluated this whole CPA exam thing and have come to realize that I need to take my time and learn the concepts.  I am still bitter about my audit score but there is nothing I can do about it. Gotta move on and study harder next time. I have the expression to explain how I really feel about my audit score, however, its too vulgar so I am not going post it. Better believe I am saying it in my head.

I pushed BEC to October 11. That should be plenty of time.  I am finishing up watching lectures this week. I plan on staying late at work this week to get all those lectures out of the way.  I am going to visit friends this weekend so not much studying is going to be done. I planned the trip because I was taking BEC August 29th.  The CPA exam certainly knows how to mess with my head.  Starting next week I plan on reading each chapter, taking notes, and working questions in the Wiley Textbook.  This should take me roughly 3 weeks mostly because I have 2 out of town weddings the first 2 weekends in September. Then the last few weeks will be all about review and working through the questions in the Wiley Testbank. I will post an update on Thursday on my progress before I go off to NC.

In other news I have been very angry lately about my weight gain.  Somewhere somehow in the last 18 months I have packed on 20 pounds.  Nothing, and when I say nothing, I man absolutely nothing I own fits anymore.  I had to buy 2 pairs of pants and I am FOUR!!!! sizes bigger.  How the heck did that happen.  So, for the next month I will be doing Jillian Michaels 30 day shred and eating paleo. Also will be joining the YMCA so I can swim a few times during the week.

I will be one hangry CPA exam student. Passing 2 exams and shedding 20 pounds are my goals for 2013.

Happy studying!
