Audit Update

Its been a while since my last post. I have been busy trying to keep up with my study schedule and also trying to get used to my new position with the firm. I must say I am loving every minute of being back in the world auditing. Studying for audit during this transition has been a blessing. A lot of what I have been studying I have actually had the chance to apply at work. One of the seniors called me a rockstar.But then again he is the senior that stresses me out, so I shall take that with a grain of salt.

Studying is going really well. I FINALLY figured out how I learn the concepts and have been sticking to it. Granted my hand hurts from all the note taking but I have to keep at it. I am rewriting all my notes covered during the lectures, and also rereading and rewriting the Ninja notes. Those Ninja notes really tie everything together make answering questions a lot easier. I was focused on doing a set number of questions each day during my final review, however, the #twudygroup electronic den mother told me to focus on quality not quantity. I will work through questions and focus on my weak areas. I have asked multiple people in the office if they have any advice on how to conquer the exam and each person I have talked has pointed out that doing as many questions as you can is key. Once again, electronic den mother was right about doing questions over and over.

I keep telling myself that I will be 50% a CPA by December. Good luck to everyone sitting for the exam this window.
