I started my position with the Internal Audit group and as soon as I came on with the team I was assigned a project. I will be traveling to DC in October. When I was informed of the travel without set dates, I of course freaked out because I had finally set a date for 10/03/2012. I had to move my date to a weekend and I was able to schedule my test for 10/24/2012. It gives me a few more weeks to study.
I have been watching the lectures and writing down notes which has taken much longer than I anticipated, however, the material is sticking. I plan on being done with all the lectures by Wednesday 09/26/2012. And then it will be going over questions till I am sick of them. One of my favorite blogs, Noircpa.com, had a giveaway for an app with questions sold by Smart Tests. Its only $20 for all four parts, cant beat that, and NoirCPA had done a review of the product on her blog. I found out this morning that I won the giveaway. I have extra questions to work through during lunch or on the shuttle during my morning commute.

Five Weeks to Audit
I finally viewed all my lectures and took notes over the labor day weekend. The four day weekend from work was definitely worth it. My hand hurts from all the notes I have been taking but it has turned out well. I have been answering questions as I have been going along and some of the material has stuck and then there is other material that I do need to read over in the book. The next five days (9/5 through 9/9) I will read all the Becker Audit chapters and rewrite the material that I am supposed to memorize. I will also go through the Becker software questions. I will also continue listening to my ninja audios during work. It may seem like overkill but I will do whatever it takes to get that 75. This is the only time in life that I hope and pray for a C.
