BEC

So, I took BEC for the second time and scored a lovely 74. I was studying for FAR at the time scores came out, so I decided to put the FAR books down and get back on the BEC bandwagon. During that time a lot was going in my personal life and the motivation and focus to study was not there. After talking to one of my good friends (Sassy), whom I met through a group of great cpa exam candidates on twitter, I decided to take a break. I took a month and half off and sowed my wild oats. Now that my partying time is over, its time for me to get back to studying.

I worked on my schedule tonight. As Sassy once said to me and also blogged about, it is impossible to try and go through this exam without a laid out plan (she is a smart woman that Sassy). So, I have a plan. I will not be going through most of the lectures since it would be a waste of time. One of the #twudygroupers, who has also become a good friend, preaches doing multiple choice questions over and over and over and over and over again. So, for my BEC retake I am going to go by Rose the CPA's advice of over and over.

Another thing I have also managed to neglect has been my body. I have put on 10 pounds and for those that know me I obsess over my weight. 135 is a good and healthy weight and it is the weight that stops me from going insane and taking all measures possible to lose weight (yep Bulimia used to be a problem). Its easy to say I dont have the time to workout but I am going to find the time. I started counting calories today and I will be switching my work schedule. I normally work 7am to 4pm which means on long commute mornings I am up at 5am sometimes at 4am. I have decided that working 8am to 5pm I can do the morning workouts at the YMCA. I have a fear about working out after work when there are a lot of people in the gym, so, early mornings I should have no excuse. Weekdays I will study from 7pm to 10pm and during my lunch hour, weekends I will study for as many hours as possible. This blog will keep me accountable and help me keep track of my progress. And of course I know Rose will be cracking the whip with the good arm to make sure I study :) I can do this!

I have a lot of changes coming. Cutting my hair will be coming up next and will probably be happening Friday. I have officially given up beer, liquor, and my bad eating habits. I will have one glass of wine a week but that will be it. I am finally taking charge of my life and I owe it all to my great #twudygroup friends.
